  • Choose and commit to a valued direction

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach that aims to teach the person new skills, on how to solve problems concerning dysfunctional emotions, behaviors and cognitions through a goal-oriented, systematic procedure (Barker 2003).
In developing my own therapeutic style, I have been guided in part by the afore-mentioned approaches, complimented by a broad spectrum of reading material, my travels nationally and abroad and the knowledge gained in interacting with diverse and interesting cultures, my continuing discovery of new and insightful ways to maximize optimal living, as well as my own ongoing quest for personal growth.
