My therapy practice is informed to a large degree by the following therapeutic approaches:-

  • Transpersonal Psychology
The Journal of Transpersonal Psychology describes Transpersonal Psychology as “the study of humanity’s highest potential, and with the recognition, understanding, and realization of unitive, spiritual, and transcendent states of consciousness” (Lajoie and Shapiro, 1992, p.91).
  • Narrative Therapy
Narrative therapy refers to the ideas and practices of Michael White, David Epston, and other practitioners who have built upon this work. The narrative therapist is a collaborator with the client in the process of discovering richer (or "thicker") narratives that emerge from disparate descriptions of experience, thus destabilizing the hold of negative ("thin") narratives upon the client.
